TANDEM SKYDIVING
For those people simply wanting to feel what it's like to fall through the sky at 10,000 feet at minimal effort, then a tandem is for you.
Unfortunately, we don't want you to do a Tandem and so DUFFC do not offer them - sorry!
Why do we not offer tandem skydives?
If we were to offer them then everyone would have them and the number of solo skydivers in the club would diminish dramatically as tandems offer absolutely no route to progress in the sport without having to pay another substantial amount to train solo. If the number of solo skydivers diminishes then there will be fewer people to run the club in the future and eventually - NO CLUB!
Skydiving solo is easier than you think!
When you consider the cost of a tandem is £285, and the cost of a DVD is £85 you could have completed a RAPS course, jumped nine times, be in freefall and halfway to obtaining your skydiving licence.
Jumping solo for the first time is much more thrilling than a tandem. Pretty much all of our first time solo jumpers land with the biggest smile on their face and have so much more to talk about afterwards than those that complete a tandem.
