ACCELLERATED FREE FALL - AFF

Accellerated Free Fall or AFF as it is commonly refered to is another method of learning to skydive solo. Like with RAPS students undertake a ground training course lasting around 6 hours before being allowed to jump.

The big difference however between AFF and RAPS is that you experience freefall from your very first jump from a minimum height of 12,000 ft with two highly experienced skydiving instructors holding you from the sides. Students must be competent at working through eight different levels of AFF followed by ten consolidation jumps.

However, doing your first freefall comes at a huge financial burden with an average cost of £1500. I'm sure you'll appreciate it is not exactly student friendly. You also need to pay this sum up front and there is no guarentee that you will pass each level first time, repeat jumps can each cost between £90 and £150 extra on top! RAPS on the other hand is paid for on a jump by jump basis and with DUFFC each jump will be around £20-£25 each taking a minimum of 15 jumps to qualify (although 20 is fairly typical) costing between £440 and £510 using DUFFC's discounted courses and subsidised jump tickets.

As I'm sure you will appreciate DUFFC do not usually organise AFF courses, however if you would like to learn to skydive this way we will be happy to put you in touch with the airfield, however please note that we cannot get any discount or provide you with subsidised jump tickets for this method of training.
